The &os; Release Engineering Team is responsible for setting
and publishing release schedules for official project releases
of &os;, announcing code freezes and maintaining the
respective branches, among other things.

In mid-July, &os; 9.3-RELEASE was released without delay
in release cycle.

In late August, &os; 10.1-RELEASE cycle began, and as of
this writing, is expected to stay on schedule.

Work has continued to produce virtual machine images as part
of the release cycle, supporting various cloud services such
as Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, and Google Compute Engine.
