<p>The &os; Release Engineering Team is responsible for setting
and publishing release schedules for official project releases
of &os;, announcing code freezes, and maintaining the
respective branches, among other things.</p>
<p>The &os; Release Engineering Team continued the 11.0-RELEASE
cycle which was planned to be released in September, but as
result of several last-minute issues that needed to be
addressed, the final release announcement was delayed.</p>
