Subject: [PATCH] <ref id=** name="<tt>..</tt>">                  ^^^^  ^^^^^
 doesn't make the ".." in typewritten format.  And the ascii version of the
 file shows '<tt>..</tt>' literally.  After looking into linuxdoc dtd, we
 found there is no way to make ".." in typewritten font.

Added reference to "MAINTAINER on Makefiles" section.
