I think the Conspectus was well intentioned, but there wasn't any follow up

Browse source 
on the idea.  Nuke said paragraph.  While here, add a link to Mailman's web
interface that way it's only two clicks from the mainpage to get to the list
of mailing lists available to the community.  www_usability++
