It mostly consisted of a list of activities tied to a person (ie
latest news). Even though voluntary work is carried by recognition
of the work being done, it's not an good way to build web pages
if it's the only real contents and it has to be updated by the
people who actually do the work. I don't know about others, but I
hate writing about myself...
Not to mention that the concept of latest news forces one to keep
updating the pages, which given the current state of affairs is
just too much to ask.
This change does not mean that the new ia64 pages cannot possibly
revive the information that's "lost" with this change.
and cvs@ hasn't replied to the repo copy request this file has been
added as a new file. History can be found in ../ia64.sgml. Not really
optimal, but such is life.

Add an entry for MIPS on the platforms page, and a small page there with
a few tiny bits of information, mostly mailing list info and a link to
the afforementioned status page.

This still needs a lot of work, but at least now it doesn't claim that
we're just in the planning phase. Also, combine Jason's first-person
account of his time at Sun into the 'Port History' section. Add a
'Latest News' section to contain the newest milestones.

I think LOWSRC attribute is local extention of specific user agents (such
as Netscape Navigator). If I misunderstand this, please add this attribute
again.
