8f7a5186cb Various changes mainly that 2.2-RELEASE is out: 
o  Added 2.2-RELEASE information pages

  o  Updated sgml "latest" macros to 2.2-RELEASE

  o  Updated where.sgml page, deleted 2.2-GAMMA entry

  o  Shortened copyright mark to 1995-1997

  o  Changed Newsflash entries's Release Notes to
     use html versions when available; updated entry
     for 2.1.6 since 2.1.7 is available

93cbd5ab56 Reflect recent 2.1.6 security concerns on the web pages. 
1) Made a short /releases/2.1.6R/security.sgml.
   2) 2.1.6R links to ftp.freebsd.org gets the above file instead.
   3) Added newsflash entry.

- Fixed a repetition in the introduction.
- Removed all entries pre-dating November 1996, for they are less than
  news, and not worthy of space on a newsflash page.
- Added an announcement concerning the snap-of-the-day server at
  22gamma.freebsd.org.

f684443e77 Hey, we released a Snapshot for 3.0-current, so I put it on the newsflash 
page.  I also created a 3.0R directory in the appropriate place so that when
the time comes, we'll have a place to put SGML-based info.

bc61fede7f Avoid the use of contractions and fix some grammar problems 
that were revealed.  Note:  I didn't go through all of
the tutorials, so there is still some work to be
done here.

Made mailing addresses consistent with the handbook.

E.g:

freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG

instead of:

questions@freebsd.org

38df6f51c6 Web pages, may I introduce you to CVS. CVS, these are the web pages. 
Yes, this is supposed to be a new top level in the repository.

For the moment any changes to this area must be cleared by myself
or Jordan.  Once the kinks are worked out, the policy will probably
be relaxed.
