a29c43d60a excise ia64 from the handbook 
ia64 was last supported in 10.4.  No currently supported version of
FreeBSD supports ia64.

6c3c6ea31c Move the paragraph "the latest release from the <xyz>.stable; branch 
down to where it makes more sense.

Remove two paragraphs that attempted to duplicate the exact same
