0407691942 Get rid of math co-processor questions. We don't run on that sort of
hardware out-of-the-box anyway, so it's not a FAQ.

Thanks to: Erik Trulsson <ertr1013@student.uu.se>, for actually having
the presence of mind to go look at UPDATING and confirm/deny this.

e0236a92e8 The Bustek 742a controller? It appears that this card was heavily
used, back around 1992.

The mailing list archive shows 0 questions about this. Given the
number of FAQs that are asked, I think this is pretty indicative of
the number of people using this card, i.e., few if any.

4f4cce4170 Remove a beautifully detailed, helpful, lengthy explanation of how to
use bad144 with bad blocks on disks.

I asked the original author about this in 2001, and he said this text
was old and irrelevant at the time. Four years on, it's even more
irrelevant.

This concludes the easy and obvious 3.X removals. What's left

e0a653d49b The FAQ is guilty of egregious and annoying use of the word "simply,"
i.e.:

"Simply use this command" is vaguely patronizing, especially when the
command is a Perl regex with a few obscure (to new users) command-line
options attached. "Use this command" answers the question, and
doesn't imply that you should know this already.

In most cases, when you begin a sentence with the word "simply" you
shouldn't. Simply begin your sentence with the second word instead.
