1) (ports) Added myself to xearth committers.marker (1st Brazilian, one of the only Latin Americans).
2) (www) Added an announcement to newsflash about this.
3) (doc) Both removed myself from contrib, then added an authors identity for myself and and entry to almighty staff area.
with SYSTEM, and using instead PUBLIC entities gained from the catalog
in the directory of the language the document belongs to, or the
language-neutral entity. Now we always use default.dsl as our dsl
master, and it grabs the necessary magic from the catalogs.
b) Fix the always-out-of-date imagelib problem with some make(1)-fu.

Following the advice in `tutorials/committers-guide/conventions.html',
added myself to the developers list, and removed myself from
additional-contributors.
Also, added a newsflash item stating the above fact.
Didn't quite know what the numbers in
ports/astro/xearth/files/freebsd.committers.markers meant. So, left
that alone :-)
sheet definitions for that language only. Each file reads in the defaults
from the master share/sgml/freebsd.dsl file, and adds overrides, or new
definitions, as necessary.
Move the per-language hacks from share/sgml/freebsd.dsl in to
<lang>/share/sgml/freebsd.dsl as necessary.
Add links to the -questions and -doc mailing lists to the bottom of the
generated HTML output for some languages. The -questions link will
become a link to Greg's "Getting the most from questions" document when
I bring that in, but I haven't done that yet, and I didn't want these
patches hanging around my local tree.
This was the real reason for making freebsd.dsl language local, as it
makes it much easier to translate generated text, such as the text of
the links, without polluting share/sgml/freebsd.dsl.
Update doc.docbook.mk to use the new, per-language freebsd.dsl file when
building the docs. While I'm here, update .pdb generation so that it
creates a symlink to ${CURDIR:T}.pdb as well (e.g., the Handbook generates
"book.pdb" and "handbook.pdb"). This makes it easier to install more than
one document on a Palm, because two docs called "book.pdb" or "article.pdb"
can not co-exist.
Added my pgp key, and reordered the 'Developers' section into userid
order (the same as authors.ent). (183 committers and only 3 developers
PGP keys? Very poor show ;o)

According to Sheldon helping me learn the ropes, I added the corresponding
author.entity and removed myself as a "contributor." It's probably
time for me to learn SGML anyway...
so that they can easily be reused in multiple pieces of documentation.

Contributors" section, I refrained from merging in the changes by
hand. Instead, I took the list of names from submitters.sgml and
did various search/replaces on them.
I strongly suggest you just lift the complete list of names from
contrib/chapter.sgml and paste it in to your translation, since
there shouldn't be any actual translation required.

frozen, and then a pass to reformat (refill) most of the lines in the

do quite what I was expecting.

Note that the LINUXDOC_2_DOCBOOK tag is not necessarily at the HEAD of
the file. So some files won't show changes because changes were applied
after I laid down the LINUXDOC_2_DOCBOOK tag.
Not everything was merged. In some cases, URLs had been shortened;

This is a mistake, since users browsing the Handbook on their own machine
can't be expected to have links like this work. Of course, for mirrors,
they'll end up pointing back to the main site. For the mean time, do
nothing -- this will need an entity defined to reference the base URL
of the FreeBSD site, individual mirrors can set this as necessary.
Notice how some files (on the left) are merged to the same file (on
the right). This is because the new Handbook file structure is organised
on DocBook chapter lines.
Files with no revision number in the "From" column didn't exist when I
