関数は、基礎となるファイルや関数のセットから、指定された
.Fa stream
を分離します。
ストリームが出力に使用されていた場合は、バッファのデータが
.Xr fflush 3
で最初に書き込まれます。
.Sh 戻り値
問題なく終了すると 0 が戻されます。問題がある場合は
.Dv EOF
が戻され、そのエラーを示す値にグローバル変数
.Va errno
が設定されます。
どちらの場合も、ストリームにはアクセスできなくなります。

関数がエラーになると、ルーチン

は NULL 引数を処理しません。
NULL 引数はセグメンテーション違反を引き起こします。
これは、FreeBSD で作成されたプログラムのバグをなくすためのものです。
