1d6df4c5aa Normalize indexterms. 
Several index terms were too long and this prevented the index from
being displayed in the normal two column style in print output.

a3f6280993 www/links1 is sufficient to dump HTML to text for all cases, so we 
don't need to use w3m here.  Move HTML2TXT definition from doc.html.mk
to the global doc.project.mk.

90ff2cb926 More work on the new GBDE section: 
* Remove a comment encouraging someone to convert an xref to a ulink.
* Simplify run-on sentence in introduction.
* Use more descriptive DocBook tags.
* Refer to our two versions of UFS as UFS1 and UFS2 rather than UFS
  and UFS2. (1)
* Move an ephemeral URL from the main text to a footnote.
* Note that newfs -O2 is the default for FreeBSD 5.1 and later (1).

13a1a04980 The floppy disk section was previously 4.x-centric, written in a very 
informal style, and full of grammatical errors.  Improve this

8a01141e46 Add a simple script to locate areas of a DocBook file where 
<indexterms> are sparse.  Also add makefile glue so that this may be
invoked on the Handbook or any other document in the FDP tree by
typing "make indexcheck".

403359dd43 Remove reference to net/gated port, as it is now commercial (and in 
fact, the company has sought out FreeBSD vendors in the past looking
for royalty money).

We still need to update the Handbook and many manpages to provide
recommendations for situations in which routed is inadequate.  All I
have done is fix the broken link.

e98c63375f Commit FreeBSD Handbook chapter on using gbde in FreeBSD 5.0 or 
higher (higher recommended).  This excellent chapter was contributed
by Lucky Green.  There appears to be a formatting problem involving
obfuscating the $FreeBSD$ in the template sample that should be
resolved by someone with a bit more SGML clue than me.

8a7c2a194d Update the "Configuration with Intel i810 Graphics Chipsets" section 
to match the current GENERIC kernel config on 4.X and 5.X.  And be more
