8cf9f16310 Add some text to the "Building XFree86" section to reflect the 4.6 and 
later default of installing XFree86 4.X from packages (rather than a
customized tarball, as was the case for prior releases using XFree86
3.X).

92cb93a0b9 Do not use /handbook to link to the Handbook, since some of these 
links are broken now that /handbook is a redirection to the real
location of the Handbook at /doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook.

fbeedae47a Change all <link>...</link> elements to <xref>. This way when/if the 
section numbers change as a result of some future change, the text
will use the right section numbers in cross refs.

6d11e7c4ba Correct a few typos. 
Add a few paragraphs from the Handbook to describe how to mirror a
local CVS repository, and point to the CVSup section of the Handbook
for more details.

Note that if RELEASETAG is omitted from "make release", then a
-CURRENT snapshot will be built. (Also from Handbook).

955f217736 Convert the PIC diagram into the necessary image formats in a slightly 
less-hackish way, so that PDFs, PostScript files, and PNG images can
be built with or without OBJDIR.
