01f01019ea Add a new variable CVS_READONLY for read-only check outs. 
The default value is YES. If your cvs command does not support
read-only check outs (global cvs option -R), set CVS_READONLY to
an empty value, e.g.:

	$ make CVS_READONLY="" all

  I guess it is some sort of load-sharing scheme; web1 doesn't work now.

890c9acd8a Remove a dead link to the old diskformat tutorial. This tutorial has 
moved to formatting-media, which is already linked to near the bottom

eb6593059c Makefile framework to pull the DocBook tutorials in to the web site. 
index.sgml came from doc/en_US.ISO_8859-1/tutorials/, and is the last
web site specific file to come out of the doc/ repository.  They are
now separated.

Makefile is best termed a "gross hack".  This will be removed as soon
as the docs are spirited away on to their own web site.

92bf4933d5 Pull out the realinstall2 target. The code to do this is part of the 
standard doc/ build, and can be turned on for all articles and books
as necessary.  What's more likely is that these files (.tar.gz of the
HTML, PS, and other versions) will be automatically generated and placed
on wcarchive, and linked to there instead.

90816a2088 When creating the "Submit Followup" link, be more aggressive about 
url-encoding unsafe characters.  Instead of a comparing against a list
of unsafe characters, compare against an inverted list of safe characters.
Specifically fixes " " spaces in urls, but probably others, too.

Make the url-encoding that did already exist work.

60dfe245a4 Whitespace clean up only, to make it clearer to see how the files are laid 
out, and spot inconsistencies.

By God that was painful.  And I'm not finished yet -- this commit just gets
the files into a semblence of order.  Now I have to go through them
excising all the dodgy HTML practices, and doing a consistency check.

Argh!

15cdaa1313 Add notes stating which release of FreeBSD each y2k bug was (will be) fixed 
in.

Wow.  Do you realize this file will become irrelevant in 4 months?  Summer
vacation is almost over.  Two months ago I wrote my last exam.  At the time,
four months seemed like a merciful eternity for a summer vacation.  Now there
are only two months left.  Four months is pretty short.  I remember when the
pr misc/1380 was filed, I read the comment about how the bug reported in
that pr would surface in four years.  My first thought at the time was
"Wow, that's pretty soon."  Come to think of it, in retrospect, it wasn't
even that long ago that I was young enough to suffer the illusion (or "be so
innocent as to believe", YMMV) that the year two-thousand would never arrive.

I'm allowed to waste verbiage in this commit log.  The file is doomed in
four months, anyways.
