60e80796fd The conspectus was well intentioned, but hasn't been touched in three 
years.  If someone feels passionately about these bits and wants to
ressurect summarizing hot topics/discussions (similar to what PostgreSQL
or Ruby does for their weekly news), so be it, but this content is just
too dated to be of any use.

cbcdd86faf I think the Conspectus was well intentioned, but there wasn't any follow up 
on the idea.  Nuke said paragraph.  While here, add a link to Mailman's web
interface that way it's only two clicks from the mainpage to get to the list
of mailing lists available to the community.  www_usability++

56ba24b9d7 Cosmetic fixes. Submitter has been advised that there are many areas 
of the website that could use more help than old release schedules
that are no longer relevant -- however this one is simple enough that
I'll just commit it so we can incorporate these improvements in our
next release schedule.
