d2c014e835 Remove the part about setting WITH_GNOME et al. If a port properly sets 
WANT_GNOME, HAVE_GNOME will be set in bsd.gnome.mk if gnome-config is
detected.  This is the proper way to handle conditional GNOME dependencies.

7dda79f99b Update the cdboot and man/no-catpages bullet items to indicate that 
these features will not be present in FreeBSD 4.5.

a521c9e767 Put back my xalf workaround - according to marcus it actually works, the 
problem is likely to be with linux-jdk, which I used as a testbed. What we
actually need is linux-xalf, which would depend on FreeBSD xalf and install
only the Linux version of shared object.

234ef42a79 - Wrap things into a table for consistency with other pages; 
- use <h2> instead of <h3> for section headers to be consistent with

ba71d3b5fd - Separate entries with one <br>, not two; 
- remove my workaround for the problem with xalf - for some reason it doesn't
  work and right not I do not have a time to debug what's going wrong;
- add another entry: Why GNOME is so huge, slow and basically useless?
- fix indentation in several places.

generated a really large docs.sgml.

Add a navigation guide to the top of this page, modeled after those
found on other FreeBSD.org pages.  This should make things easier to
find.

1b83faa99c Add 6 more action items to the release schedule. Also note that we 
must use RELATIVE symlinks on ftp-master, as my fingers often forget
this.

Some of these items appear on this schedule only after we do them, but
I still think it is worth documenting, so we can use this for 4.6.

66e0a1cacf Force tidy(1) to use '-raw' and newly added '-preserve' options 
to process generated HTML. This not cause any side effects except
leaving some character entities in their numeric form instead
converting them into alphabetical notation (&#60; instead of &lt;),
but since all browsers understand such cases it is not a problem.

This commit should make all translations tidy clean, since
tidy should not arise entities conversion problem as it did
for long time before. Therefore all occurences of manual settings
of TIDYFLAGS and NO_TIDY declarations for translations are removed.

Also clean *OPTS/*FLAGS variables declaration like it was done in doc/ tree
some time ago. Currently all local additions to commands parameters that used
in make process should be passed thru *FLAGS variables. All variables
with OPTS suffix are reserved for internal use of web.site.mk now.
Cleanup part is based on work done by Cyrille Lefevre <clefevre-lists@noos.fr>

This page documents the administrative aspects of FreeBSD releases,

da9bc4fbe9 Add the ability to query based on GNATS "Release:". There's a new 
pull-down box that defaults to "All", but has options for
 "Pre-5.x", "4.x", "5.x", "3.x" and "2.x".

Give query-pr.cgi the full PR path.  This will allow a future
 query-pr.cgi to skip looking through the whole GNATS index to
 display a PR.

6e28c38b61 Fix up the Documentation section: 
- Add links to the "Books" and "Articles" section of ../docs.html
   since we now (relative to when this was last updated) have a
   greater set of both.  I kept the links to the Handbook and FAQ
   since they're probably the most popular books, but they seem a
   little out of place now.
 - Fix links to other parts of ../docs.html; don't link specifically
   to the 4.4BSD Manuals or INFO pages, but link to Other
   Documentation.  The Manual Pages link, broken since 2001/02/22
   (docs.sgml 1.92), was unbroken as a result of docs.sgml 1.128.

aee7d4368c Explicitly link to the index.html files instead of relying on the web

289bb9611e Allow ^ and $ as regular expressions in the responsible person field. 
This allows us to search for all those PRs assigned to 're' without
adding the ones assigned to 'reg', or 'mi' and 'mike', etc..  Finally
I hope to have PR email that only contains the PRs that were really
meant for me.

3c690effe0 Commit the hardware notes for 4.4-RELEASE to the Web tree, with 
appropriate infrastructure changes and pointers from the appropriate
places.  (With RELNOTESng, the hardware notes are no longer duplicated
in the release notes; they're a separate document.)

122fcd38da Use an already-rendered HTML version of the errata file, rather than 
a text file dropped in the middle of SGML.  It looks a little nicer
(at the expense of the FreeBSD banner on the top of the page), but
more importantly it'll be much easier to just drop future errata updates
in place.

a14a448622 Put a copy of the CSS stylesheet with the 4.4-RELEASE release notes 
document so that some browsers can actually render them.

This isn't necessarily a good long-term solution, but at least people
can read the file for now.
