e965180cec 1) Consistently capitalise the entries in the table of NIS components. 
2)	A couple of grammatical nits.

3)	Completely remove the outdated section on libscrypt and libdescrypt,
	and replace with an outline of login.conf, the passwd_format capability
	and auth.conf, along with an outline of why this is an issue with NIS.

28adb85d88 Override the normal legalnotice processing to always render this 
element if role="trademarks".  Otherwise, fall back to the default
processing (which doesn't always get displayed, depending on some
variables).

2aa7428929 Use lower case indexterms, and correct an egregious entry : 
-    <indexterm><primary>Configuring the <command>cron</command> utility</primary></indexterm>
+    <indexterm><primary>cron</primary>
+      <secondary>configuration</secondary></indexterm>

This is wrong for many many reasons :

* The indexterm is way too long and is a direct copy of the title
  of the section it resides in.  The index is not a table of contents.
* Two columns of index terms should fit at the back of the printed
  book, so four words is almos always out of the question.
* indexterms relating to cron should appear near (as a subterm of) the
  'cron' entry, not as a new 'Configuration blah' entry.

863bddb4b9 A few corrections to the recently added troubleshooting section: 
* Use lower-case indexterm
* Not all references to 'PPP' are commands, not all references to 'kernel'
  are filenames.  Correct tags accordingly.
* Simplify a sentence.

979c7c339a Corrections to recently re-added PPP device nodes section: 
* Don't capitalize index terms.
* Use <replaceable> rather than <literal> for replaceable 'N'.  This
  renders replaceable text in an oblique rather than monospace font,
  as is customary.
