28ded3fede Add DESTDIR and DOC_INSTALL_PREFIX variables. 
Pull in ../Makefile.inc if it exists.

Don't use install(1), use cp(1), chmod(1), and chown(1).  That way non-root
users can install the files without install(1) complaining about the
inability to change the owners.

Nuke the "distribute" target.  We don't need it where we're going. . .

f79e2c7fb2 Add a question explaining that the snd0 device doesn't have a single /dev 
entry, but has lots (mixer0, sndstat0, and so on).

ca138ea9df Updated information on the Archive Python 28454 -- the Sun model number 
is 595-3067, not 441 (which is the type of external enclosure it is in!).
And throughput is roughly 1.5 MBytes/sec.
