9ac04d647b In the process of re-constructing the FreeBSD web site automatic-update,
clean up the build process a wee bit.

The basic change: instead of cheacking out bits and pieces of the
doc tree into the web build tree, check out the doc tree somewhere
else and put in a few symlinks from the web tree to the doc tree.

On catfish (soon to be hub) for example:

  /usr/local/www/build/doc/...
  /usr/local/www/build/www/...

where

  /usr/local/www/build/www/data/handbook -> ../../doc/handbook

You have to manually put in the symlinks at the moment, but it
works better than the evil CVS hackery.

Also, install with -C to help avoid gratuitous cache-busting due to
gratuitous timestamp twiddling.

95843e6469 Add note that "version required" should be kept upto date. After speaking
with Satoshi, it seems only the "Date created" and "Author" shouldn't be
updated.

Now I 100% find "version required" to be totally useless, as apose to the
5% usefulness in documenting the first version used for the port.

d47ecf2893 (1) Use the new "deinstall" target in testing examples.
(2) Explicitly note that not only packages are not to be included in
the uploaded port tarball, but they are not needed at all.

Merge the above two (as well as 1.85) to the Japanese version.

75f9f2e478 (1) Add reference to kernelconfig section (many supported devices are
listed there).

(2) Intel's Natoma chipset is called "440FX", not "VS440FX" (which is
the Venus motherboard that uses the Natoma chipset).

(3) Unspam the bogons introduced in rev 1.30 (1 1/2 years ago, I can't
believe nobody noticed it! ;). In particular, don't list serial
ports, sound cards and PCMCIA in the storage system. The first
two are deleted; PCMCIA is moved to the resurrected "other"
    section.

By the way, I'm not sure if the "problem drives" at the end of
tape drives is supposed to be there or not (this whole section is
about what works and what doesn't anyway) but I'll leave that alone.

(4) Spell check the whole thing. In particular, properly capitalize
"MHz" (not "MHZ" or "Mhz"). If you are translating this to
another language, "trinitron" -> "Trinitron" and "Ananconda" ->
"Anaconda" are the only proper nouns that changed.

Merge these changes (as well as 1.77) into the Japanese version.

d888f07fb8 Change "FORMATS=" to "FORMATS?=" so the user can override it when you
are building from the parent directory. bsd.sgml.mk (which also
defines FORMATS using "?=") is included after this line so this change
does not affect the default behavior.
