a2974cf290 This file was replaced with three different diagrams and releng article 
was updated to use them.  So, since it's unused now remove it.

31b2958c80 Update article to use 3 branches diagram instead of one. 
Also remove branches.ascii file.  This file is highly outdated, and
I was failed to understand how it was used in article at all.  All
my attempts to get it *really* included into generated html were failed.

If someone feels that it should not be remove, feel free to re-add
it back and update it to current state of the world.

32c8c3b46e We have "too" many releases in 4.x branch, so branches.pic's default 
scaling model "got confused" and most of messages become unreadable.
Resolve this problem, by spliting of branches diagram into three
diagrams: head, releng3 and releng4.  It reduces width usage and gives
us more control over scalling control.

c0dc63ac06 Really unbreak creation of PDF documents which use "shared" PNG images: 
The previous fix only worked in some cases, so back it out and add a
more clean fix.  This fix also makes "make clean" work as expected again
for the shared PNG images.

The real problem is the assumption in doc.images.mk that the
${IMAGES_PDF} variable only need to contain images converted to PDF
format and not images which are already in PNG format.  We need to list
the PNG images in ${IMAGES_PDF} since they might be in a shared image
directory, and if we don't list them in ${IMAGES_PDF} they will not be
copied to the working directory and will therefor not be found during
build.

83ed0cc555 Added information about the new ~/.spam_lover knob for turning off 
spam checks done on mx1.  While here emphasise SSHv2 is now the only
way to connect to project hosts, SSHv1 got turned off.

d57858a6cf Minimal update to bring aricle into current reality: 
. Use better visible name for Using CVSup section
        . Use 1.3.1-patchset9 as referencing patchset
        . Use linux-sun-jdk1.3.1's build 10 for references.
        . Use tomcat 4.0.6 for references
        . Do not mention hand handling dependencies for gtar, bzip2, etc.
          These are handled automatically these days.

XXX: article need to be updated to cover least following things:

        . enable linux emulation via kernel module loading
        . notice possiblities to build jdk13 without plugin, etc.  This
          is useful in server only environment.
        . it should mention jdk14 as one of choices

88135069b4 Remove programming-tools. Its content was moved into Developer's 
Handbook at 2001/09/02 and replaced with compatibility link to its
new content location.  2.5 years is long enough deprecate period, so
cleanup a repository.
